What Our Clients Say?
I can safely say that I leave every session feeling like the weight’s been lifted off my shoulders and that I’ve learned something new about myself. What makes Sam so great at this profession is that he genuinely cares for the well-being of his clients and it shows in the way he communicates with and guides them. In a heartbeat, I would recommend Sam to anyone in need of marriage or individual counseling. I hope you’re lucky enough to stumble upon him too!
Sam was great. I was super nervous about proceeding with counseling. He was encouraging and helped me work through some personal issues that in turn helped my wife and I work through our issues.
I was blown away by Bruce…he is SO AWESOME!
He was understanding, unbiased.
My sessions with Sam over the last few months have been transformative, transcendent, and invigorating. He’s a fantastic communicator, a gifted counselor, and a comforting presence to talk to and in front of. I cannot say enough good things about the work he has done with me.
You are a great counselor, and your clients are very lucky to have you. Your forthrightness is something very admired.
I have learned the most incredible tools from her with her support and beautifully kind words, I navigated a path from the ugliest heartbroken place I’ve ever been to one of peace and COMMUNICATION!

When life gets overwhelming what do you do? For most people, they try to ‘work through it’ or ‘wait it out’. Sometimes that works but for most, it doesn’t. I want you to know I understand those feelings of being stuck, confused, and discouraged. I was once there myself. It was through my own journey in therapy I was able to see more clearly, to finally come to terms with my past and the way I saw myself/others – and to start taking initiative to truly live life rather than just going through it. Therapy gave me the skills. My mission is to do the same for you. I believe understanding my client’s pain and their story are cornerstones to building a therapeutic relationship of trust and collaboration. I use my experience and training to show you a new way of responding rather than reacting. If you struggle with anxiety, depression, sex/porn addiction, stress management, anger, self-esteem issues, boundaries, childhood trauma, etc., I would love to work with you. I am also a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) who can help those struggling with porn addiction and other sexually compulsive sexual behaviors. I have training in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), childhood trauma, mindfulness, EFT tapping, DBT, and EMDR. I look forward to walking by your side!
My name is Lauren Guenther and I’ve worked as a therapist since 2013. I enjoy working one on one with clients and have seen countless individuals make huge strides in their lives through the power of the therapeutic relationship. Even if the focus of counseling is primarily around relationship issues, one person changing the way they show up in a relationship or marriage can lead to huge shifts in the couple’s interactions. I have a passion for walking alongside clients during times of brokenness and grief, to help process their losses and gain strength to walk the path of mourning and acceptance. I also have a passion for helping betrayed partners navigate the ups and downs of living with someone struggling with sexual addiction. I believe the therapy room should be a safe place where clients can authentically share who they are and how they feel to find healing and strength to face life’s most difficult challenges. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two kids or curling up with a good book. We love being outside, going on bike rides and camping when the weather is nice.
LPC, LMFT Associate (Supervised by Susan Henderson, MEd, LPC-S, LMFT-S)
I am dually licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate. Whether it’s depression, anxiety, anger management or past traumas that are interfering with your present, I can help you explore them in a safe supportive environment that will promote healing and give you new skills to help you live life in a happier, healthier way. I enjoy partnering with my clients to help them better understand themselves and recognize their own strengths and talents. After spending the first 20 years of my career in public service, I am particularly passionate about helping first responders struggling with the unique pressures their jobs place on them, their relationships, and their families. As a mother of two and stepmom to two, I also know how challenging family dynamics can be and how they impact our own self-care. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), both highly effective therapies for treating among other things, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. When not working, you can find me out in the garden, sitting down with a good puzzle (Sudoku, KenKen, Nubrix), reading, or hanging out with my family and our 3 dogs and 2 cats.
An elective psychology class in high school is what initially fueled my interest in counseling and led me to pursue my chosen field as a therapist. I grew up in a chaotic home and I learned firsthand how our early experiences impact us as adults. I’ve also personally experienced the freedom that comes from tackling the past, and I recognize how integral counseling was in my own personal journey of healing and self-awareness. I have a passion working with clients who are ready to experience personal freedom from the pain of their past and whatever it is that is holding them back from living their best life whether that be anxiety, depression, loss, stress, something else. I am trained as an EMDR therapist which is a technique that helps clients heal from symptoms and emotional distress caused by memories of painful events. I’ve been married for almost three decades and I’m a mom to 3 adult children. In my “free” time, I enjoy Broadway, gardening, baking, and reading.
My name is Brittany Lee and I believe all people are created for community and connection. Yet in the busyness of life, it is easy to forgo the time and energy it takes to build healthy relationships – with ourselves and each other. I’ve dedicated myself to helping facilitate this very valuable work. I enjoy helping my clients develop stronger emotional intelligence and emotion regulation so they can navigate life in a healthy way. I’ve learned that once we learn to care for our own wants and needs, we’re also better able to support those around us. My experience includes working with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, loss and grief, trauma, codependency, and relationships. I studied psychology at Texas State University and obtained my master’s degree in counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our furry baby, Bear.
I enjoy helping my clients discover, or rediscover, their inner strengths, confidence, and resiliency necessary to navigate life’s curve balls. I see therapy as a collaborative process and encourage you to be an active participant in creating your treatment plan. I want my office to be a safe space, free of judgment but encouraging of personal accountability, so that you can trust, explore, and move forward toward your goals. I have a special interest in helping clients recognize the impact unresolved trauma and addiction has had on their mental and physical health. I am trained in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) which is one modality designed to help you heal from past or current distress and trauma. I am a graduate of Tulane University and have been married for 25 years. My husband and I have 4 kids. I love nature, family vacations, and spending time with our two dogs and cat. I have designed my schedule to include weekend and evening availability to assist clients who are juggling busy work schedules and family obligations.
LMFT Associate (Supervised by Sharla Carpenter, LMFT-S)
Hi, I’m Teresa Draper. As a wife and mother, I understand the many challenges that come with balancing responsibilities that come with being both a spouse and parent, and still finding time for your own self-care. My passion to help others thrive at life was the driving force behind my pursuit of a career as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I take a relational approach to therapy. I enjoy working with clients who want to understand their past and improve their present and future. I work with chronic problems as well as short-term issues related to life changes. I have experience helping clients with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and unresolved trauma. I also have a special affinity for helping clients who struggle with sexually compulsive behavior, as well as offering support for their spouses. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending quality time with my husband of almost 30 years, and our two children.
Masters Level Intern (Supervised by Sam John, LPC)
I have spent the last six years helping individuals recover from sexual addiction and related trauma. I sincerely believe that change is possible for every individual and that there are evidence-based, proven ways to overcome even problems that seem to have no solutions. With a combination of empathy, encouragement, and a keen listening ear, I want to help each of my clients find a confidential, safe space to breathe, regather themselves, and create new solutions to ongoing obstacles. I am steadfast in my desire to see people find help and wholeness, and I believe in true healing for the brokenhearted and true freedom for those who feel trapped in “the crazy cycle.” I’ve spent most of my adult life working with trauma and abuse victims and understand how these tragedies can impact all aspects of our lives and relationships. Depending on my client’s needs, I encourage the combination of individual therapy and group recovery therapy. My wife and I have been married for over two decades and are the proud parents of four sons. Having overcome enormous challenges of my own, I know first-hand how important it is to find the right professional to help you. I am a graduate of The University of Georgia and hold a master’s degree from Dallas Theological Seminary. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, SEC football, and being the loudest fan at my son’s sporting events.
